About

History

Founded in the saddle by SOF veterans in the Owyhee mountains, OSS emerged from the observation that while numerous packing and outfitting schools excel in equine training, and tactical schools provide complex tactical instruction, few organizations bridge both disciplines. OSS was established to address this void, aiming to equip our service members with superior capabilities and versatile problem solving tools, ensuring they remain the most lethal and effective force in the world.

Today, OSS has expanded its offerings to include marksmanship, tactics, and security consulting for responsible civilians and the private sector. 

Vision

OSS strives to build a nationwide community where individuals, families, and teams can pursue excellence. Drawing on more than 50 years of combined Special Operations experience, we apply proven knowledge and field tested skill sets to the private sector through customized services in estate/ranch security and management, risk management, and family focused security consultation.

Additionally, our vision is to help clients mitigate risk by strengthening both their environment and their personal capability. Through a focus on mind, body, and spirit, OSS develops prepared and capable individuals who can better protect themselves and those around them. By improving the individual, we strengthen the family; by strengthening the family, we contribute to stronger communities and a prosperous country.

Training Statement

OSS exists to train and equip our service members, and responsible citizens with advanced equine, marksmanship, and tactical capabilities required to operate effectively in complex environments, as well as in daily life. Additionally we aim to provide citizens with the tools and services to ensure their families and communities remain safe in order to enable thriving communities throughout the entirety of its network.
